Hydroponic systems

Hydroponics  is a modern method of growing on soilless substrates with the addition of nutrients, in which the plant receives from the solution all the necessary nutrients in the right quantities and exact proportions.

There are several methods of growing in this way, these are systems – aeroponics; deep water culture or DWC; periodic flooding; drip irrigation; wick

Hydroponic systems are certainly the most automated method of growing, as they significantly reduce intervention in crops. This also guarantees a remarkable growth rate of plants. For hydroponic growing, we offer amateur plants of modest sizes and more modern systems for intensive growing. Thus, we can say that hydroponic growing allows almost complete control over the various stages of plant development, ensuring faster time and higher yields.

CHOOSING A HYDROPONIC SYSTEM

In hydroponic cultivation, plants are rooted on inert substrates (such as expanded clay, foam glass, mineral wool, etc.) and fed with a solution based on mineral fertilizers. Among the various hydroponic systems that this category offers, you can find EBB & FLOW systems (intermittent flooding system), NFT systems (nutrient film technique), aeroponic systems, vertical hydroponics, DWC systems and RDWC (deep water systems).

DWC (Deep Water Culture Method)

In DWC (Deep Water Culture or Direct Water Culture) hydroponic systems, plant roots grow suspended in a well-oxygenated nutrient solution. In this hydroponic growing method, “deep” means that the roots are deeply submerged in water.
There are many benefits to growing in a hydroponic system for deep water culture. Plants grow faster, healthier, and produce higher yields. Plant roots are always submerged in the nutrient solution, so the nutrients are constantly oxygenated. Individual plants are grown in separate containers, so each plant benefits from the nutrients for itself.
