Lighting
One of the main conditions for growing is the right amount of light. Light is a source of energy for plants, necessary for a very important process called photosynthesis. Depending on the type of plant being grown, its stage of development (germination, growth, flowering or fruit ripening), and the current photoperiod, a specific spectrum, light output and color temperature of the light source are required.
Here are all types of artificial lighting for a specific plant life cycle. The choice of lighting will determine the time and quality of the product you receive.

Lighting in a growbox provides plants with light
The most important thing in growing plants is to have enough light for photosynthesis during the growth and flowering phases. For optimal lighting, various auxiliary means are needed, which we have listed in this short guide. We offer various light sources, ballasts, reflectors and LEDs to illuminate your plants.
Two types of gas discharge lamps:
- MHL - metal halide lamps with a high blue light component for the growth phase
- DNAT - sodium lamps with a high proportion of yellow and red light and ideal light intensity for the flowering phase of the plant.
Reduce energy consumption. Extend service life.
You will also find suitable ballasts in our shop in electronic (EPRA) or conventional (EMPRA) form for all types of gas discharge lamps. The function of ballasts is to connect them to the lamp and limit the lamp current to its nominal value. Electronic ballasts are dimmable and provide higher luminous intensity with lower energy consumption. Conventional ballasts are characterized by the fact that they serve for decades.
Reflecting light to maximize growth
We also provide you with reflectors for optimal plant lighting, which increases efficiency during the growth and flowering phase. In addition, reflectors reduce heat by distributing light evenly. There are several types of reflectors:
- Open type reflectors with a special coating provide high light output due to optimal reflection
- Coolmaster reflectors have the advantages of an open reflector, but also allow heat to escape through the growbox ventilation.
- Cooltube reflectors integrate into the ventilation system to dissipate heat. They are ideal for small growboxes.
LED lighting for growbox
LED grow lights are currently the best choice on the market when it comes to optimal plant lighting. The unrivaled advantage: LED technology outperforms conventional incandescent and energy-saving lamps and even in direct comparison with sodium lamps (HPS). For example, the Quantum Board lamp, unlike all other light sources, has much lower power values at the same luminous flux values and is therefore significantly more efficient in the test.
